HOWARD WOLFSON
Vice President of Operations

He is a native of Miami, Florida and serves as Vice President of Operations for the five Hospitality Operations, Inc. hotels. He is thoroughly involved in ongoing and continuing planning, research and negotiation for the development or acquisition of additional hotel properties to be included in our portfolio.

Howard is a graduate of Tulane University and has been deeply involved in  the hospitality industry for over 15 years. His previous affiliations include Hilton Hotel Corporation in Atlanta, and Villas by the Sea, a Hotel Condominium & Conference Center in historic Jekyll Island, Georgia. He has been with Hospitality Operations, Inc. since 1992.

Howard maintains principal ownership in an independent hospitality consulting firm which operates under the name of Innovative Management Concepts.


EDUARDO CHAPOVAL, CHA
Area Director of Operations

He is a native of Olinda, Brazil and serves as Area Director of Operations for Hospitality Operations and the General Manager of the brand new 221-unit Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Miami Brickell Downtown. He received his degree on Hotel Management from Estacio University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, awarded the Master Certificate in Hospitality Management by Cornell University - School of Hotel Administration, and has achieved accreditation from American Hotel & Motel Associations’ Educational Institute for Certification as CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator). In addition to his 28-year association with Hospitality Operations, Inc., Mr. Chapoval is a 33-year veteran of the hospitality/tourism industry. He has held affiliations with Veplan Hotels (Sofitel Rio Palace Hotel, Brazil), Rede Globo Hotels (Pestana Rio Atlantica Hotel, Brazil) and Hilton Hotels. In addition, he has served on the Hampton Inn Brand Information Technology Council.
Mr. Chapoval is an astute and experienced hotel manager and fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Hebrew and Italian.

Travel is his number one hobby and activity.

CHRISTIAN RIOFRIO
General Manager

Prior to his appointment as General Manager of the Hampton Inn Coconut Grove, Florida, in June 2009, Christian (Chris) Riofrio served as General Manager of our west Ft. Lauderdale (Pembroke Pines) Hampton Inn for three years. Chris joined the Hospitality Operations team in 2001 initially as a Guest Service Representative and advanced to Front Office Supervisor, Front Office Manager, and subsequently Assistant General Manager for two years prior to assuming the position of General Manager at Pembroke Pines in 2006.
Chris is from Guayaquil, Ecuador, having attended the Universidad Espiritu Santo in his home country.
Chris is proud, that while General Manager at Pembroke Pines, he was able to achieve outstanding guest service scores and superior financial results. His property ranked #1 in the community by TripAdvisor for the years 2008 and 2009.
Chris’ management style is his belief in not what he says but how he says it. This has proven rewarding to him in his management endeavors.
Chris recognizes that leadership and responsibility are the fundamentals of his management style. He leads by example so that his team members understand and learn the nuance of being a successful hospitality professional. Chris enjoys teaching and developing the sense of ownership in his team and demonstrating to them the meaning of customer service as the essential of the hospitality industry. Outstanding service and impeccable product build a loyalty that reflects in financial success.


CARMEN CARBAJAL
Administrative Assistant

She is a native of Havana, Cuba, and has served as Administrative Assistant to the president and other executive officers of Hospitality Operations, Inc. since August 1984.
She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Bernard Wolfson
President

Bernard Wolfson, President, Hospitality Operations, Inc., has more than 40 years of real estate operation experience in conjunction with offices, warehouses, hotels, apartments, commercial space and vacant land. Mr. Wolfson has resided in South Florida since 1945.
Prior to focusing his energies full time to hotel development, he was a partner of the Law Firm of Wolfson & Starkman. His law practice focused on real estate, mortgages, condominium law, corporations and related commercial matters.
